Hello and welcome to www.allieswalktocurediabetes.weebly.com! Our mission is to find a cure for diabetes. In November of 2008 I was diagnosed as a type one diabetic,it completely changed my life. Ever since my diagnosis my family, and friends have been right by my side through it all.
"Allie's Walk to Cure Diabetes" got started from the idea of me and my family.According to JDRF statistics,as many as three million Americans have type one diabetes and each year more then 15,000 - (40 per day), are diagnosed with type one diabetes. We all wanted to do something to help research for diabetes progress even more, so we came up with an idea and it all progressed from there. This year will be our second annual year for "Allie's Walk to Cure Diabetes" and would love for everyone to help out, and/or come walk with us!
Not only do we take monetary donations, but we also take donations for the goodie bags we hand out at the walk. We also take things for our raffle we have.
