-TYPE ONE DIABETES FACTS&&SYMPTOMS-

-Type one diabetes is more commonly seen diagnosed in children, or young adults.  Type one diabetes is not brought on by the person, it can't be stopped. Insulin is a hormone made naturally by a persons pancreas in order to convert sugar, starches, and other food into energy needed for day to day life. Although, with type one diabetes, the pancreas makes no insulin at all so in order to survive type one diabetics take four-five daily injections of insulin, or some may have an what is called insulin pump.Insulin is NOT a cure which is why we are still looking for one. 
-The symptoms to look out for are : extreme thirst, frequent urination,cramps in legs or other places,fatigue, fruity odor in breath, labored breathing, sudden weight loss, sudden vision changes, increased appetite, sugar in urine, stupor or unconsciousness.  If one or multiple of these symptoms occur to you or someone you know you should notify your family physician immediately.
